My Thoughts

Eve Lantz had left Racheals Crossing, her hometown, many years ago… She carried so much guilt from her past. When she left, her father went looking for her; he was killed. Feeling she was the reason he died, she held that close to her heart. When her mother called, telling her her brother had passed away. She knew she had to put her feelings aside to be there for her grieving mom and niece, Sophia. Childhood memories stirred as she tried to help pick up the pieces. Her old friend was the assistant police chief Casey, so protecting her was his job, but he went above and beyond, in my opinion, to make her feel safe the whole time!! This book had me from the first couple of chapters, with non-stop action as Eve figures out where she belongs and who keeps hurting her family members and why. I am a sucker for romance, so of course I was drawn to how she and Casey had such chemistry even though there was so much going on. How lost Eve Lantz was about where she belongs was heartbreaking….. Loved this book. It was beautifully written!!
