My Thoughts

This book was about a cute little cafe called Whipped & Sipped Café. The owner, Alene Baron, is a mother of three very active young children. Sierra, Quinn & Noah. Having the ability to deal with the slightly off-kilter, homeless man who hangs outside her cafe. Her ability to deal with the homeless man who harasses customers and her always-disgruntled employee, Edith, with so much empathy amazed me. As I would have crashed out with all the drama she had going on!!. The fact that she somehow gets entangled in things that she had nothing to do with just because her pastry chef, Ruthie Rosin, husband, owned the building where they happened to find two bodies & a wrapper from her shop at the scene. Make her homicidal detective boyfriend, Frank, question who the heck he is dating. Frank’s relationship with Alene’s three children I adored!! The cover of this book is very eye-catching; it draws you in!! The cafe serves vegan baked goodies, which sounds absolutely heavenly! Always something going on in and around this cafe! Loved this book!
