About the Author
Deena Alexander grew up in a small town on the south shore of eastern Long Island, where she met and married her high school sweetheart. She recently relocated to Florida with her husband, three kids, son-in-law, and four dogs. Now she enjoys long walks in nature all year long, despite the occasional alligator or snake she sometimes encounters. Deena’s love for writing developed when her youngest son was born and didn’t sleep through the night.
My Thoughts
This book is about FBI agent Tristan McAvoy and a young lady named Avery. They had been dating when he got up & left Avery pregnant with his daughter. While investigating a cruel woman who was running a foul adoption scheme, his daughter was kidnapped and held hostage to try to get him not to speak about the case. Tristan had no clue he even had a daughter. The title of the book caught my attention, and as I started reading it, the book flowed so well. It felt like I was very much able to picture what the scene looked like. The very treacherous & scary journey they had to go through with hopes of them finding their daughter made me pretty terrified for their safety. I loved how Tristan & Avery were able to put their feelings aside to focus on finding their baby girl, Lily. This book had me very much on pins and needles rooting for them!
