My Thoughts
This book is about a girl named Francesca. She was born into a very religious family in a small town in Brazil. They were poor but had enough. She always had the dream to go to America for school, and it’s basically just telling her story of how she was dreaming of going to school and what she did to try to achieve her dream even though she had severe poverty all around her. Along the way, she met an American missionary, a boy that she started to have feelings for. He was a missionary, so he was all over preaching, making it hard for them to stay connected. She was very much falling hard for this young man, though they weren’t supposed to be talking because of his line of work. It’s an uplifting story about her life and how she went about trying to make her dreams come true. You have to read it to find out what happened with Francesca…
