My Thoughts

The Sound of Violet by Allen Wolf: The description on this book caught my attention, as it is talking about autism & how different it can be for autistic people to date. Shawn, the autistic man in the book, would go out on dates; none would work out till he met Violet. Or so he thought, Violet, whom he assumed would be another one-time date. Violet has fooled him in to thinking she was an actress .She is a prostitute, but he thinks she is trying out for acting jobs. Where she is thinking she has found a man that will take care of her. Shawn thought it was a mutual relationship. He is very kind and sweet to her, something she is not used to. It shows that autistic people have a different way of interacting with others, but most are genuinely not aware that what they say or how they act is not normal, as that isn’t abnormal to them. And they want love too. This book had me giggling out loud at points. Read it to find out what happens with Shawn & Violet!
