Excerpts:

Old Flames by Libby Kay is about Malcolm “Smithy” Smith, who is a local firefighter & EMT, and Jessie “JJ” Mays, who is in the Peace Corps. Malcolm gets severely injured while putting out a fire, so Jessie comes back to nurse him back to health along with his annoying but extremely loving mom, Estelle, & Dad, Craig. She also got to deal with his coworker and good friend Trevor & the rest of the Pinegrove FD stopping randomly to check on him. While she nurses him back to health, she fights her attraction to him, knowing that their love could easily be rekindled with how close they are because of the situation. They had been lovers as teenagers/young adults; when Jessie went into the Peace Corps, they had to end their relationship. While she was nursing her ex-boyfriend back to health, Jessie walked in on her mom & the local fire chief having breakfast. Read it to find out what other romances are brewing in Pinegrove.
