Today’s Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge from Long and Short Reviews is Favorite TV Shows and Why? This could be a huge list, as I tend to binge-watch reality TV when my illnesses get me in bed.
Ginny & Georgia: This one is safe for me to watch with my teenage daughters, with minimal sex & violence in it. Georgia and her two kids, Ginny and Austin, move into a new town & learn how to adjust to a normal lifestyle. It’s got a lot of humor in it. Love the bond that the mother, Georgia, shares with her daughter, Ginny.
My Life with the Walter Boys: After losing her family in a tragic accident, 15-year-old Jackie is forced to leave her privileged Manhattan life and move in with a large, very active family in rural Colorado, where she becomes entangled in a love triangle between two brothers. It’s a cute little story about this young lady healing from losing her family while dealing with the fun of growing up in a houseful of other children, where two boys are vying for her attention.
Teen Mom: I started watching The Teen Mom OGs Catelynn Lowell, Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood, and Farrah Abraham. 10-15 years ago. Their kids are roughly around the same age as mine. It’s basically about the struggles that come with having kids so young. Teen pregnancy and all the trials & tribulations that come with it. Though I am sure having money from the show is making it a heck of a lot easier.
Virgin River: Seeking a fresh start, nurse Melinda moves from Los Angeles to a remote Northern California town and is immediately immersed in all this lovely small town’s shenanigans, including falling in love with the local bar owner, ex-military Jack, who is dealing with former alcoholism. It’s a gripping series that can have you on the edge of your seat. Waiting for them to let the fans know if there would be another season was annoying.
That is a couple I’ve been into lately or have been following over the years. I am very interested in reading about what my fellow bloggers are watching, as I can always use new suggestions.
