Sweetheart Wedding by Mindy Hardwick is about Gracie, who, after a failed engagement, puts all her energy into fixing up and running the local boutique inn in Cranberry Bay that she came upon while running from a failed engagement.
She was good friends with the youngest brother from the Shuster family, whose name was Adam. Whom she met through her friends from the sewing circle. They didn’t like that she hiked alone and introduced him to her for her safety.
After a tragic accident, he had given up on love & turned to the bottle to cope with his feelings. With the help of some supportive friends, he turned his life around; he had now been sober for five years, held a full-time job as a local park ranger, & volunteered for the local bird rescue.
Their friends Sasha and Gregg were having a wedding, and the inn was just the perfect spot. Sasha, the bride, thought so, so she asked Gracie if she would host it. She agreed but panicked as the inn was open & running, but the outdoor area had been extremely overgrown, as no one had taken care of it in years.
Recently being laid off from his park ranger job, Adam needed something to keep him occupied while he waited on the reply from a job he applied for in Montana. Gracie asked him to help her out, as he had a green thumb and some knowledge of what to plant in her area. The lightheartedness of their friendship was very enjoyable to read about. I want to live in Cranberry Bay! Can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the series. If you want to immerse yourself in this book Grab it here
