If THE COWBOY’S COUNTRY CHARM was made into a movie, I’d choose Sam Heughan for the lead role (although he’d have to lose his lovely accent) of Rusty “to the rescue” Russell. Sam isn’t a natural redhead, by the way. He dyed his hair for his Jaimie Fraser role in Outlander but he looks good as a redhead, don’t you think? At 6’3’ he has a brawny muscular frame and certainly looks like he could be an air force para-rescuer. I think he’d also look good in a cowboy hat, don’t you?
Tall and willowy Jennifer Lawrence would be my pick for Kristy Winslow. She has often played gutsy women with angst and that’s perfect for Kristy. Kristy’s trying to be independent and self-sufficient but she keeps getting pulled by forces out of her control.
The setting, of course, has to be the beautiful, rugged country of Wyoming. Where else for a series titled Wyoming Romance?
Ariel, the talented, if quirky, cousin would be played by Dakota Fanning who, at 5’ 4”, has the wide-eyed, petite look to pull it off. Her sister, Elle is 5’9” so Elle would be my second choice for Kristy’s role.
It’s fun playing casting director. Looking at the cover or if you’ve read THE COWBOY’S COUNTRY CHARM, do you agree with my casting choices or do you have someone else who you think should be considered?
