About the Author
You might say Dandy’s lifelong pursuit of healing began in many places: with parents who both abandoned her in different ways; with the incredible cross-country road trip she embarked on as a teenager; or with a transcendent night in Washington D.C.
The truth is, healing is not about beginnings or about endings. It’s an invitation that beckons to every one of us.

Two young women from totally different backgrounds go on a road trip to find Denver’s father while staking out the perfect spot for a vintage store. Denver’s father had been in & out of her life. When he was growing up, she never really understood what her father was talking about when he blabbered about what he heard on the radio. Which to her just sounded like static.
Denver goes on this cross-country journey with her best friend Shay by her side to find her father using what information she gathered from listening to him mumbling about them over the years. While on this journey to find her father. The girls also had a shared dream of owning a vintage store, and they were hoping to find the perfect location as they scouted out college towns along the way, they also stopped here and there to pick up records, etc to sell in there store.
On this road trip, Denver finds out a lot about herself and starts to understand what her father had gone through when he lost her mother when she was young. This friendship that Denver and Shay have shows the remarkable loyalty two human beings can have with one another when dealing with extremely hard situations such as the complexity of Denver’s need to find her long-lost father. Totally worth reading, it is a great book that keeps you captivated to find out what is going to happen on this road trip. To pick up your own copy to enjoy. Click here.
